CAMPER TESTIMONIALS

• First of all, Nick, you are the man, you’re awesome too Alana. I like how you come up with sweet punishments for the wrong doers.

• I liked the games they were fun. I liked the devotion things too, they helped.

• A good place to meet new people.

• My favorite things were when we got to all worship together with the songs and the videos. They were extremely moving. Also I loved the late nights. Parties all around. At ILC camp.

• Having fun with your friends and the Christianity around you.

• The Christianity and games were cool.

• I loved getting up early to do calisthenics!!!

• Last year was my first year at camp. At first, I was really shy, but everybody was really nice and I soon made friends. The activities were really fun and the food was amazing. Swimming once a day and eating candy twice a day was absolutely awesome. I really want to go again this year.

• I went to ILC camp for 3 years, Roughtider 2 years, and Camp Koyquin 1 year. I loved making friends in the dorm and cabins. Skit night was so much fun too! I loved going canoeing at midnight with glowsticks! – Christ Lentz

• I loved making up a skit. Matt Hanel was the greatest. – Rachel Schrader

• I had fun hanging out with my friends that I normally wouldn’t get to see. It was fun getting to be in a Christian environment. It’s so much fun looking back at all the crazy memories and thinking to yourself, “I can’t believe I did this!” – Kim Clement (ILC – 3, Roughrider – 1, Koyquin -1)

• One of my favorites about both camps was the variety of things to do! There was never a reason to be bored, especially at Camp Koyquin. I loved getting a chance to kayak or canoe on the lake.

• I love swimming and the midnight canoeing w/glow sticks! I love meeting people from all over, it’s so much fun. Saying goodbye is always sad, there are always tears. But you can always laugh about the funny things that happened. Joe Quade being duck taped to a pole at Camp Koyquin. =) Anyone who has a chance should go. – Steph Lau

• Camp is the highlight of my summer. I have met a lot of great people at camp that I wouldn’t know otherwise. I feel bad for people who can’t come. They are definitely missing out on some good times. I will never forget my 4 years at camp, and I can’t wait for camp this summer! Lauren Franson (1LC-2, RR-1, Koyquin-1)

• I love camp because it is so much fun and there are so many things you can take away from it. You can meet so many different people and go home with more phone numbers and emails. It’s a good chance to make new friends and hang out with your friends you don’t get to see during the summer. For those of you who don’t get to experience being a dormie, you can at camp whether you’re in the dorm or in a cabin. I guess the best thing would be all the Christian friendships you can make at camp. Sam Sterner (ILC-2, RR-1, Koyquin-1)

• At Camp Koyquin, I had fun swimming in the lake and using the boars. I liked having extra time to hang out with friends. All of the group competitions were also fun. Camp is a great place to go in the summer. –Emily Hulke (ILC-1, Koyquin-1)

• I love getting the chance to meet new people and even becoming better friends with the people you knew before. The down time is also one of the better times because it gives you a chance to talk to other people and just mess around. I have met a lot of great people who I am still really good friends with. –Renae Markus (ILC-2, RR-1, Koyquin-1)

• I went to camp every year that I could (5 years) and I helped out with one camp. The first year I was afraid to go, but once I got there, I never wanted to leave! Everything about camp is great! I loved making new friends and getting the chance to spend time with my old friends that I don’t see very often. Everyone is so fun to be with. The counselors are always there and always have good ideas. Camp is totally awesome because its an opportunity to spend time in a Christian atmosphere and you know that everyone there has something in common. Camp is for sure the main think I look forward to every year. – Amy Roehl

• Before camps, I didn’t know many people at all. After going to all those camps for almost 6 years, I not only know more people, but gained CHRISTIAN friends that I got to know more at ILC. – Sara Haensgen

• Camp is awesome. You’ll have tons of fun and meet a lot of new people. A lot of my best friends are my friends from camp. Besides, what’s to lose? Try it out, and I think that by the time it’s over, you’ll be ready to come back for the next year. I know I always was! – Ross Kok
